Artic Onslaught

Arctic Onslaught is a new 2026 ZX Spectrum game from The Death Squad, and in this video we're playing it with full gameplay and commentary running on MiSTer FPGA.

The premise is simple but brutal: slide across the ice while dodging bombs and irate local wildlife, one hit and you're done. The developer has said Arctic Onslaught was inspired by the offline "Dinosaur" game built into Google Chrome and the "Surf" game in Windows, and that the whole thing was made in the space of two evenings. A bugfix version was later released to stop the game crashing after death.

If you enjoy watching new ZX Spectrum homebrew running on real hardware through MiSTer FPGA, this is for you. This channel plays video games with full commentary, so expect honest reactions and a proper playthrough rather than a silent longplay. New here?
